Erect branched shrub (2–)4.5 m. tall; stems slender, grey or brown with pale lenticels, densely pubescent with ± spreading yellowish hairs, but later glabrous and dull purplish brown.. Leaf-blades elliptic to oblong-elliptic, 2.5–8.5 cm. long, 1–3.5 cm. wide, long-acuminate at the apex, the actual apex narrowly rounded, rounded to slightly subcordate at the base, discolorous, sparsely to densely shortly pilose above and beneath but surface not obscured and also with tufts of hair around the domatia in the nerve-axils beneath; petiole 2–3(–5) mm. long; stipules very hairy outside, the bases 1–2 mm. long, joined to form a sheath; appendages subulate (2–)5–7 mm. long, subpersistent.. Cymes 1–2-flowered; peduncle 3–4 mm. long; pedicels 4–6 mm. long; bracts ovate, 1.5 mm. long.. Buds densely pubescent save at base, with 5 long apical tails.. Calyx-tube 1 mm. long, the limb subulate-dentate, teeth 0.7(–1) mm. long, densely pubescent.. Corolla greenish white; tube (3–)4.5 mm. long, with a ring of deflexed hairs inside; lobes ovate-oblong to lanceolate, 2.5(–3) mm. long, (1–)1.7 mm. wide, with an apical filiform appendage (3.5–)5 mm. long.. Anthers 1 mm. long, just exserted.. Ovary 2-locular; style exserted 2.5 mm., the stigmatic club depressed, ± 2 mm. wide.. Fruit ellipsoid to compressed-obovoid, ±11 × 8 mm., glabrous or pubescent; pedicel (1.2)–2 cm. long.
