Characteristics

Glabrous shrub 1.8 m. tall; stems finely longitudinally wrinkled.. Leaf-blades ovate, oblong-ovate or ± elliptic, 4–7.5 cm. long, 1.5–3.5 cm. wide, long-acuminate, the actual acumen rounded, broadly cuneate to rounded at the base, ± discolorous, sometimes with a few domatia beneath; petiole 2–5 mm. long; stipules lanceolate, 4 cm. long, 1 mm. wide, the limb held at right-angles to the base and in the plane of a radius of the stem.. Flowers 1–2 on very reduced axillary ?viscid or at least shining nodules 2–3 mm. long with minute congested bracts; pedicels 5–6 mm. long.. Calyx-tube 1.2 mm. long; limb reduced to a minute rim 0.2 mm. tall.. Corolla white; buds only seen, with apical appendages ± 3 mm. long; tube ± 9 mm. long; lobes ± 6–7 mm. long including appendages.
