Leaves paired; blades elliptic, 2.3–6 cm. long, 1.2–2 cm. wide, acuminate at the apex, the acumen narrowly rounded or subacute, cuneate at the base into a margined petiole 2–4 mm. long, glabrous save for barbellate domatia in the axils of some nerves of some leaves beneath; margins wrinkled at least when dry; stipules with connate ± coriaceous ovate-triangular base, 2.5 mm. long, villous inside, with subapical subulate appendage 2–2.5 mm. long, ultimately deciduous.. Buds acuminate.. Flowers solitary in the axils of apices of younger branchlets; pedicels 5–6 mm. long, attaining 1.2 cm. in fruit.. Calyx-tube hemispherical, 1.5 mm. long; limb denticulate, the teeth triangular, 0.5 mm. long, acute.. Corolla greenish white; tube narrowly cylindrical, 6 mm. long, with a ring of deflexed hairs below the throat; lobes oblong-linear, 3 mm. long, the apical appendages 1 mm. long..
