Leaf-blades oblong to oblong-elliptic or lanceolate, 3–11 cm. long, 1.2–6 cm. wide, acuminate, rounded at the base, thin, ± glabrous or with a few very scattered seta-like hairs and pubescent domatia beneath; petiole 3.5–5 mm. long; stipules triangular, 3 mm. long, connate at the base, persistent, densely villous inside; appendage broadly subulate, ± fleshy, 4–8 mm. long, soon deciduous or sometimes completely lacking.. Inflorescence 9–14-flowered; peduncle 2–4 mm. long; pedicels 2–4.5 mm. long; bracts 1.5 mm. long, connate into an involucre.. Buds shortly acuminate, glabrous.. Calyx-tube 1.5–2 mm. long; limb ± 0.2 mm. long, truncate..
