Petiole 2-4 mm; leaf blade orbicular, broadly elliptic, or obovate, 1.5-2.5(-3) × 1.2-2 cm, abaxially greenish, densely silky villous, adaxially dull green, glabrous, base rounded or subrounded, margin entire, apex rounded; lateral veins 5-7 on each side of midvein; reticulate veins conspicuous. Flowering coetaneous. Male catkin unknown. Female catkin 1.7-2 cm × ca. 5 mm.
