Leaves petiolate; blade ovate-deltoid, 35-50 x 23-35 mm, subglabrous and dark green above, tomentose and paler beneath, apex acute, base truncate to cordate, margin finely crenate. Inflorescence of up to 12 verticils, lax below, denser above; verticils (4-)6-10-flowered. Calyx hispidulous, about 10 mm long; upper lip entire. Corolla scarlet to pink, 20-25 mm long; tube 15-20 mm long; upper lip straight, 5 mm long; lower lip slightly longer.
