Characteristics

Stoloniferous perennial with a woody rootstock; stems erect-ascending up to 0.6 m long, not or little branched, subglabrous to sparingly pubescent. Leaves shortly petiolate; blade simple, linear to linear-oblanceolate, 30-50 x 3-6(-10) mm, glabrous above, pilose beneath and gland-dotted, apex acute, base tapering narrowly, margin subentire or rarely irregularly dentate, often ciliate. Inflorescence of several spaced 2-flowered verticils. Calyx glandular-villous, 10-12 mm long. Corolla mauve-pink, c. 20 mm long; tube c. 14 mm long; upper lip falcate, 5-6 mm long; lower lip subequal to the upper.
