Cultivation

Origin: in Kentville, Nova Scotia, Canada, by E.L. Eaton, Canada Dept. of Agriculture, Res. Sta. Introd. in 1957. Open­pollinated seedling of Adams 2; selected in 1946; tested as Nova Scotia 43-43. Tree: Fruit: size and quality equal to Adams, but ripens 3-6 days earlier. Plant: moderately vigorous; productive; readily propagated by dormant cuttings.
