Environment

Whereas the Papuan collections have been found at low altitude, the Queensland ones are found montane (1000-1200 m). All are recorded from 'rain-forest', but the Papuan localities are subject to a seasonal climate. Fr. Sept., Jan.
More
Grows in forests including rainforest, wet and dry sclerophyll forest, and in scrub on sand dunes, in basaltic soils, laterite ridges and sandstone, to 1200 m alt.
