Erect stems from rhizome 20–30(–45) cm tall, usually unbranched.. Leaves linear to obovate or oblanceolate, 1.7–3.5 cm long, 0.2–1.2 cm wide, becoming progressively narrower up the stem, acute to obtuse or shortly apiculate at the apex, narrowed or cuneate at the base; petiole slender, up to 2 mm long or ± absent; stipules linear, 3–7 mm long, striate.. Flowers in monochasial cymes or rarely solitary in leaf axils; pedicels 3–10 mm long, sometimes articulated at the base.. Sepals lanceolate, 3–6 mm long.. Petals pink with yellow and white base, obovate, 5–8 mm long, 3.5–4.5 mm wide, rounded.. Staminodes white with pinkish-purple base, lanceolate, 3–5 mm long, rounded or slightly retuse at apex; anthers yellow, 1.5 mm long.. Ovary ovoid, ± 1.5 mm long; style ± 2 mm long; stigma pink..
