Characteristics

Herbs perennial, 16-28 cm tall. Stem simple, densely brown crisped villous. Basal leaves caducous. Cauline leaves sessile or subsessile, oblong-lanceolate, 2-2.8 cm × 2-3 mm, both surfaces glabrous, margin brown crisped villous. Inflorescence a compact, corymbose cyme of 6-10 flowers; branches ascending, 1-2 cm, 1-or 2-flowered; pedicels densely brown crisped villous. Sepals erect to spreading, ovate-oblong, 2.3-3.8 × 1-1.3 mm, abaxially and marginally brown crisped villous, veins 3, not confluent at apex, apex obtuse. Petals yellow, oblong-elliptic, 5-6 × 1.5-1.8 mm, callose, base contracted into a short claw. Stamens ca. 3.5 mm. Ovary subsuperior, ovoid, ca. 3 mm; styles ca. 1.5 mm. Fl. and fr. Aug-Sep.
