Characteristics

Herbs perennial, 3.5-5 cm tall. Stem branched. Flowering stem brown crisped glandular villous. Cauline leaves oblong to narrowly subobovate, 5-7.8 × 1.8-2.5 mm, largest near middle of stem, both surfaces glabrous on proximal leaves, margin brown pilose on distal leaves, apex obtuse. Flower solitary; pedicel 1.4-1.6 cm, brown crisped glandular villous. Sepals erect, broadly subovate, ca. 4 × 3 mm, abaxially pilose, adaxially and marginally glabrous, veins 3, confluent at apex, apex subacute. Petals yellow, ovate, ca. 6.5 × 4 mm, not callose, ca. 7-veined, base clawless, apex obtuse. Stamens ca. 5 mm. Ovary subsuperior, broadly ovoid, ca. 3.4 mm; styles ca. 2 mm. Fl. Jul-Aug.
