Characteristics

Plants 150-600 mm tall; leaves 5-18, lower 3-10 linear to very narrowly elliptic, acute, semi-erect, basal or scattered in the lower half of the stem, 40-140 x 3-10 mm; upper leaves reduced to lanceolate-acuminate sheaths grading into the bracts. Inflorescences lax or rarely dense, to 100 mm long and with to 30 flowers; the lanceolate bracts about as long as the 5-10 mm long ovaries. Flowers 4-6 mm in diameter, bright yellow with the lip a richer yellow than the sepals. Sepals acute, 4.5-11 mm long; median subgaleate, narrowly elliptic; laterals obliquely lanceolate. Petals suboblique, ovate to lanceolate, acute, 2.5-6 mm long. Lip 6-12 x 4-6 mm, disc with 3 fleshy calli; lobes narrowly ovate, acute; midlobe to 2 mm long; side lobes 1 mm long; spur straight, cylindrical, 2-6 mm long.
