Fruiting perianth woolly-villous or eventually glabrous; attachment small, basal; tube barrel-shaped, c. 2 mm high, hard (possibly fleshy outside when fresh), smooth or 5–10-ribbed; apex conical, woolly on lobes; spines 5, 0.5–1.5 mm long (the radicular one the shortest), recurved. Seed slightly oblique; radicle ascending.
