Characteristics

Decumbent villous perennial. Branches slender. Leaves erect, linear to very narrowly oblong, c. 6 mm long, crowded towards branch apices. Flowers solitary, glabrous. Stamens 5. Fruiting perianth sub-globular, glabrous; attachment basal, horizontal; base rounded, concave; tube depressed-cylindrical to shortly barrel-shaped, 10-ribbed, c. 1 mm high, 1.5 mm wide; apex truncate; spines 4+2, c. 0.5 mm long, recurved at apex, regularly placed at margin of apex with radicular pair close together. Seed horizontal.
