Characteristics

Plants evergreen, small, weak, 1.5-6 cm high. Main stems suberect, slender, leafy portion once or twice pinnately branched. Leaves very thin. Axillary leaves oblong, 1.5-2 × 0.6-1.2 mm, margin subentire or minutely denticulate. Ventral leaves oblong, 1.5-2 × 0.6-1 mm, base rounded, margin slightly denticulate, apex obtuse. Dorsal leaves much smaller than ventral leaves, ovate or elliptic, 0.8-1 × 0.4-0.6 mm, base cuneate, margin minutely denticulate, apex obtuse. Strobili solitary, dorsiventrally compressed, 3-5 × 2-3 mm; sporophylls strongly dimorphic, resupinate; dorsal sporophylls larger, spreading, oblong-lanceolate, up to 1.5 × 0.5 mm, base rounded, margin minutely denticulate, apex acute; ventral sporophylls smaller, ovate, margin minutely denticulate, apex acuminate; megaspores whitish, microspores not found.
