Leaves alternate, fascicled, largest primary leaves 2.5-4(-16 mm in young growth) x 1-1.8 mm (axillary leaves often longer, 2.5-7 x 0.7-1.3 mm), primary leaves deltoid to elliptic lanceolate (linear in young growth), apex acute or subacute, base broad, margins entire, revolute, texture very thick (which may obscure nature of margins), glandular-punctate (not easily seen), usually otherwise glabrous except for a few hairs c. 0.15 mm long on lower margins, occasionally a few minute scabrid trichomes on margins, axillary leaves oblong or oblong-elliptic, base slightly narrowed, otherwise as primary leaves. Bract adnate to base of calyx tube, lowermost c. 2.7-4 x 0.6-1 mm, lanceolate, acute, lower part slightly concave, hairs up to c. 0.25-0.4 mm long on margins, c. 0.2-0.25 mm long on lower backs, or hairs sometimes wanting there in lowermost bracts. Pedicel wanting. Calyx 2.2-3.8 mm long, campanulate, subequally 5-lobed more than halfway to base, lobes narrowly triangular, very acute, hairs up to 0.2-0.5 mm long on margins, shorter all over outside, minutely glandular as well. Corolla tube (3.5-)4-6.5 mm long, funnel-shaped, limb c. 5-7 mm across lateral lobes, posticous lobes 1.5-2.4 x 0.8-2 mm, anticous lobe 2-3.5 x 1.2-2.1 mm, all lobes elliptic or oblong-elliptic, white. Stamens: posticous filaments 1.1-2.1 mm long, anthers shortly exerted; anticous filaments 1.8-2.8 mm long, anthers well exerted Stigma and style c. 3.5-9.5 mm long, style pubescent. Ovary c. 0.8 x 0.4 mm. Cocci 2-3 x 1-1.7 mm, rugulose, deeply concave on inner face, this sometimes obscured by the only partial collapse of the inner wall. Flowers may appear in any month.
