Dwarf woody shrublet c. 200 mm tall (no basal parts seen), virgately well branched, old stems bare, up to c. 5 mm in diam., young parts minutely puberulous, hairs c. 0.1 mm long, ± patent, arranged in longitudinal bands but often inconspicuous, closely leafy. Leaves opposite becoming alternate upwards, not fascicled, largest 5-8 x 1-1.2 mm, ascending to spreading or recurved, narrowly elliptic, apex subacute, base slightly narrowed, decurrent, margins entire, thickened, texture rather thin (except in very small leaves), midrib raised on lower surface, glandular-punctate, mostly otherwise glabrous but upper leaves becoming increasingly bract-like with hairs developing on lower margins. Inflorescence a terminal many-flowered somewhat lax spike c. 30-60 x 10 mm when still not fully expanded (no fruiting ones seen), solitary but flowering branchlets developing further back down stem (material all young). Bract adnate to base of calyx tube and minute pedicel, lowermost c. 4-5 x 0.8-0.9 mm, lanceolate, acute, glandular-punctate, acute hairs up to 0.5-0.7 mm long on lower margins, stout obtuse hairs up to 0.1-0.2 mm long on lower back. Pedicel 0-0.2 mm long. Calyx c. 1.8-2 mm long, campanulate, 5-lobed roughly halfway to base, two anticous lobes slightly broader than other three, hairs up to 0.3-0.5 mm long on margins, densely pubescent outside, most conspicuous hairs c. 0.25-0.4 mm long, acute, patent, underlain by minute globular glands and rather sparse short obtuse hairs, inside glabrous. Corolla tube c. 4.3-5 mm long, funnel-shaped, limb c. 4.5-5 mm across lateral lobes, posticous lobes 1.25-1.8 x 0.8-1 mm, anticous lobe 1.7-2.3 x 1-1.3 mm, all lobes oblong-elliptic, white. Stamens: posticous filaments 1.7-2.3 long, anticous filaments 2-2.5 mm, all anthers well exserted. Stigma and style c. 5-6 mm long, style glabrous. Ovary c. 0.8 x 0.5 mm, glabrous. Cocci not seen.
