Perennial herb, bushy, c. 300-600 m tall, main stems stout, up to c. 5 mm diam. (base not seen), branches probably sometimes decumbent, pubescent, hairs up to 0.1-0.2 mm long, ± curved, strongly to weakly retrorse, closely leafy throughout. Leaves alternate, fascicled, primary leaves 4-13 x 1-2 mm, lanceolate in outline, base narrowed, petiole-like, apex acute, margins mostly with 1-2 pairs of coarse sharp teeth in upper part (secondary leaves often entire), glandular-punctate, upper surface glabrous, lower scabrid-puberulous, hairs up to c. 0.2 mm long. Inflorescence corymbose in bud becoming loosely paniculate, flowers eventually distant. Bract adnate to pedicel and calyx tube, part free from pedicel up to c. 2.8-3.4 x 0.5-0.8 mm, lanceolate, acute, thick-textured, pubescent mainly on margins and keel, hairs up to 0.15 mm long. Pedicel (lowermost) 1.5-3.5 mm long. Calyx 1.4-1.7 mm long on anticous side, lobes 5, almost equal, roughly as long as tube, deltoid, acute, thick-textured, strongly keeled, hairs to 0.15 mm long mainly on margins. Corolla tube 4-4.4 mm long, funnel-shaped, limb 4-5 mm across lateral lobes, posticous lobes 1.6-2 x 0.8-1.2 mm, anticous lobe 2.3-2.6 x 1.1-1.3 mm, all lobes oblong-elliptic, white to pale mauve. Stamens: posticous filaments 1.1-2 mm long, anthers in mouth; anticous filaments 1.7-2.2 mm long, anthers shortly exerted. Stigma and style c. 4.5-5 mm long, style glabrous. Ovary c. 0.8 x 0.5 mm, nectariferous gland small. Cocci c. 2 x 0.8 mm, light brown, slightly rugulose, the pair probably not separating, or separating tardily.
