Shrublet, no basal parts seen, longest stem c. 300 mm,5 mm diam., prostrate, divaricately well-branched, clad in patent hairs up to 0.6-1 mm long, closely leafy. Leaves fascicled, probably opposite or subopposite low down, soon alternate upwards, largest primary leaves 3.5-7 x 1.5-3 mm, reflexed, ± appressed, ovate to ovate-lanceolate, apex subacute, base slightly narrowed, margins entire, texture thick, midline faintly visible, hairs up to 0.6-1 mm long mainly on margins, occasionally a few on upper and lower midlines, white scales less than 0.1 mm in diam. occasionally present. Inflorescence a terminal spike up to 30-35 mm long, c. 10 mm in diam., mostly solitary, occasionally associated with 1-3 shorter subsidiary spikes, flowers sessile, crowded even in fruiting stage though a few of the lowermost may become distant. Bract adnate to calyx tube, lowermost c. 4.2-4.5 x 0.8-1.25 mm, elliptic, shallowly concave to plane, apex subacute, hairs up to 0.4-0.8 mm long on margins and back. Calyx c. 2.2-3 mm long, campanulate, subequally 5-lobed at least halfway to base, lobes narrowly triangular, very acute, hairs up to 0.4-0.8 mm long on margins and outer surface, minutely glandular as well. Corolla tube c. 5-6 mm long, funnel-shaped, limb c. 4.5-5 mm across lateral lobes, posticous lobes c. 1.2-1.5 x 1-1.2 mm, anticous lobe c. 1.8-2 x 1.1 mm, all lobes elliptic, white. Stamens: posticous filaments c. 1-1.4 mm long, anthers in mouth; anticous filaments c. 1.4-1.8 mm long, anthers shortly exerted. Stigma and style c. 6-6.5 mm long, style pubescent. Ovary c. 0.8 x 0.4 mm. Cocci c. 2 x 1.2 mm, slightly rugulose, brown. The specimens seen were well on into fruit in November and February, in first flower in December.
