Perennial herb or shrublet, stems c. 100-400 mm long, several from a woody taproot, decumbent, simple or loosely branched, clad in patent hairs up to 0.6-1.1 mm long, closely leafy. Leaves fascicled, opposite becoming alternate upwards, spreading, largest primary ones 3-9 x (2-)2.5-4 mm, suborbicular, broadly ovate or broadly elliptic, apex obtuse, sometimes abruptly acute, base abruptly narrowed to a broad very short petiolar part, margins entire, texture thick, midrib faintly visible or not, hairs up to 0.6-1.1 mm long mainly on margins, sometimes few on midline of lower surface, rarely even fewer on midline of upper surface, white scales up to c. 0.1 mm in diam. usually present on both surfaces. Inflorescence of short (c. 10-15 mm long, c. 10 mm broad) terminal spikes, solitary or few crowded together, sometimes further arranged in a panicle, flowers sessile, crowded, remaining so in fruit. Bract adnate to calyx tube, lowermost (3.5-)4-5 x 1-2 mm, elliptic, shallowly concave, apex subacute, hairs up to 0.5-0.8 mm long on margins and backs. Calyx (2.2-)3-3.5 mm long, campanulate, subequally 54obed at least halfway to base, lobes narrowly triangular, very acute, hairs up to 0.4-0.6 mm long on margins and outer surface, minutely glandular as well, also very minute glands inside. Corolla tube 4.5-7 mm long, funnel-shaped, limb 4.3-6.3 mm across lateral lobes, posticous lobes 1.5-2.2 x 0.8-1.8 mm, anticous lobe 2-2.8 x 1-1.8 mm, all lobes elliptic, white. Stamens: posticous filaments 1-1.8 mm long, anthers in mouth; anticous filaments 1.4-2.3 mm long, anthers shortly exerted. Stigma and style 5-7 mm long, style pubescent. Ovary c. 0.8 x 0.5 mm. Cocci c. 2 x 1.3 mm, slightly rugulose, brown.
