Dwarf woody shrublet c. 350-600 mm tall (or possibly taller), virgately branched, old stems nude, stoutest seen 8 mm in diam., pubescent, hairs c. 0.2-0.25 mm long, ± patent, young branches closely leafy. Leaves opposite, soon alternate upwards, not fascicled but small leafy buds sometimes developing in axils, largest leaves 6-18 x 0.9-1.25 mm, spreading at angle of c. 45°, oblong-elliptic, apex acute or subacute, bluntly mucronulate, base narrowed, margins entire, texture moderately thick, midrib channelled on upper surface, usually invisible on lower surface, glandular-punctate, hairs 0.2-0.3 mm long scattered on both surfaces, sometimes few. Inflorescence a crowded raceme c. 25-50 x 12-15 mm in flower and fruit, solitary at tips of leafy branchlets, later several branchlets developing below the old bare subspinescent, persistent axis. Bract adnate to pedicel, lowermost 6-8 x 1.1-1.7 mm, lanceolate, very acute, coarse hairs c. 0.6-1 mm long on margins and back, minute globular glands all over inner face. Pedicel c. 0.4-0.5 mm long. Calyx 2.8-3 mm long, campanulate, subequally 5-lobed less than halfway to base, coarse patent hairs c. 0.9-1 mm long on margins and all over outside together with globular glands, inside minute globular glands all over. Corolla tube 3.8-5.8 mm long, funnel-shaped, limb 4.5-6 mm across lateral lobes, posticous lobes 1.8-2.1 x 0.8-1.25 mm, anticous lobe 2-2.8 x 1.1-1.3 mm, all lobes oblong-elliptic, white. Stamens: posticous filaments 1.3-2.3 mm long, anticous filaments 1.6-3.2 mm, all anthers far exerted. Stigma and style c. 5.2-7.5 mm long, style minutely puberulous, hairs glandular or not. Ovary c. 0.8 x 0.6 mm, glabrous. Cocci (few seen) 2.2-2.8 x 1.1-1.3 mm, red-brown, smooth, the pair of cocci held within the persistent calyx.
