Perennial herb, 50 cm high, scapigerous; stem solitary, erect, glabrous.. Basal leaves sessile, oblanceolate-linear, 16–25.5 cm long (including 8–13 cm long petioloid base), 0.9–1.2 cm wide, long-attenuate into a petioloid base, margins minutely denticulate, apex acute, glabrous.. Stem leaves (if any) unknown.. Capitula discoid, erect, 6 in a very lax terminal corymb; stalks of the individual capitula slightly arachnoid near apex; involucre broadly cylindrical, 7.5 mm long, 6.5 mm in diameter; bracts of calyculus 2–3, lanceolate, 3 mm long, slightly arachnoid; phyllaries ± 18, 7 mm long, almost glabrous, slightly tapered and white-bearded at apex.. Ray florets 0; disc florets yellow, corolla 5 mm long, tube slightly expanded above the middle, glabrous, lobes 0.8 mm long.. Mature achenes unknown, but ovary of disc florets 2.5 mm long, glabrous; pappus 4 mm long.
