Leaves up to 120 mm long, flat, not folded, apical lobe very long, linear to lanceolate, basal lobes sometimes one pair only, margins thickened, serrate or serrulate, teeth not incurved, both surfaces glabrous or almost. Flowering time Mar.-May.

Perennial herb, up to 1 m high. Leaves lanceolate to narrowly linear-elliptic, glabrous, margins regularly serrulate. Heads radiate, rays 8-13, involucral bracts 12, 3.0-3.5 mm long. Achenes and ovaries glabrous. Flowers yellow.
