Leaves often polymorphic, long-petiolate, sagittate to reniform, or lyrate and pinnatisect with terminal lobe largest, sometimes auriculate, often purple beneath, margins revolute, sometimes roughly hairy. Flower heads radiate, 1-few on scaly scapes, sometimes in lax corymbs, purple or yellow with purple or white rays, bracts broad.
