Characteristics

Perennial herb, stoloniferous; flowering stems up to 100 mm high, simple, erect, short, harshly glandular-pubescent; leafy below. Leaves: blade of basal leaves linear-oblong, ± 25-50 x 3 mm, apex obtuse, margins inciso-dentate or subpinnatifid, petiolate, glabrous; stem leaves smaller, sessile. Heads radiate, solitary. Involucral bracts 18-20, ± 7 mm long, slightly shorter than disc florets, glandular; calyculus bracts few, short. Flowers: ray florets ± 8-10; ray and disc florets yellow; Aug.-Jan., May, Jun. Fruit with cypsela (and ovary) puberulous.
