Capitula radiate, erect, terminal, solitary or more often in small cymes; stalks of the individual capitula shortly pubescent or arachnoid-pubescent; involucre broadly cylindrical, 6–8 mm long, 4–5 mm in diameter; bracts of calyculus 14–16, lanceolate, 1.5–3.5 mm long, obtuse, dark-coloured, shortly ciliate on margins or at least near the apex; phyllaries 18–22, 5–7.5 mm long, glabrous, dark-tipped.. Ray florets 12–14, yellow, tube 2.8 mm long, hairy, rays ± 13 x 2.5 mm; disc florets yellow, corolla 4–4.8 mm long, expanded above the middle, glabrous, lobes 0.5 mm long..
