Characteristics

A spreading shrub, branches long, slender, erect, ascending or pendulous, grey-woolly, glabrescent, often densely glandular-pilose, the upper parts and inflorescence branches always so, branchlets closely leafy. Leaves up to c. 3 cm long including the broad, half-clasping, petiole-like base, blade oblong in outline, closely pinnatisect or bipinnatisect, lobes up to 4 mm long, persistently grey-woolly, the uppermost and the reduced leaves on the inflorescence branches without wool, densely glandular-pilose. Heads radiate, in open, spreading corymbose panicles terminating the branches. Involucre turbinate, bracts c. 12, 4-5(-7) mm long, about equalling the disc, glandular-pilose, often cobwebby at the base as well, nerves resinous. Rays c. 13, long and spreading, they and the disc bright canary yellow, corolla lobes with a median resinous line. Achenes c. 2.5 mm long, cylindric, ribbed, glabrous.
