Characteristics

A tree. It grows 5 m tall. The bark is yellow and papery. Young branches have soft hairs. There are prickles in pairs. The leaves are compound. They have 1-4 pairs of pinnae an 2-7 pairs of leaflets. The flowers are white and in spikes. These are 2-4 cm long. The pods are purplish-brown and straight. They are 6-8 cm long by 2 cm wide. The fruit are pods with about 5 seeds.
