Characteristics

Shrub, erect, to 2 m tall, pubescent on vegetative and inflorescence parts, glabrescent and reddish glaucous. Leaves 3-6 cm long including a terete petiole 10-15 mm long; stipules acicular, caducous; leaflets in 2-4 pairs spaced 6-15 mm apart, elliptic, 10-26 mm long, 3-8 mm wide, slightly recurved at the margin, acute to rounded; glands 1-3, between the lowest pairs of leaflets, sessile, flat or pointed. Inflorescence subumbellate, of 4-7 flowers, in upper axils; peduncle 15-20 mm long; pedicels 10-20 mm long; bracts caducous. Petals 9-10 mm long. Fertile stamens 10; filaments subequal, c. 0.5 mm long, with 1 or 2 abaxial ones to 2 mm long; anthers subequal, 3-5 mm long. Pod flat, 4-8 cm long, 10-15 mm wide, straight, entire. Seeds dull.
