Characteristics

A rounded shrub 0.5-1 m tall, up to 0.5 m across. Main stem 20 mm in diameter. Leaves erect, 25-65 mm long, 20-25 mm wide, hairless, dissected, with 10-17 rounded tips with fine points; stalk 15-25 mm long. Flowerhead globose, 20-25 mm long, 25-30 mm across, comprising 5-25 headlets of 6-10 flowers each, with a strong sweet scent; headlet stalk short and thick, hairy. Involucral bracts absent. Perianth pink, with adpressed, short, silver hairs. Style curved, 7-8 mm long. Pollen presenter 0.5 mm long, club-shaped. Flowers: July to October.
