Characteristics

A straggly, much-branched shrub 0.2-0.5 m tall, 0.5 m across. Main stem 15 mm in diameter. Leaves erect, 12-20 mm long, 4-8 mm wide, hairless when mature, dissected, with 1-7 tips with fine points; stalk 8-12 mm long. Flowerhead globose, 7-13 mm long, 12-18 mm across, solitary or up to 12 per branch, each comprising a solitary headlet of 12-20 flowers, with a sweet scent; flowerhead stalk 0-14 mm long. Involucral bracts linear, with long hairs. Perianth pink with long, silver hairs. Style straight, 5-8 mm long, hairless. Pollen presenter 1 mm long, club-shaped. Flowers: July to October.
