Characteristics

An erect shrub 0.4-0.8 m tall, 0.5 m across. Main stem 10 mm in diameter. Leaves erect, 25-55 mm long, 2-15 mm wide, dissected, with 18-25 tips with sharp, fine points, covered with silver, woolly hairs; stalk 1-15 mm long. Flowerhead 25 mm long, 30 mm across, comprising 10-25 headlets of 6-7 flowers each; flowerhead stalk 5 mm long, hairy. Involucral bracts absent. Perianth pink with dark tips, with spreading, silver hairs. Style straight, 6-9 mm long. Pollen presenter 0.5 mm long, club-shaped. Flowers: July to December.
