Characteristics

An erect, sparsely branched shrub, with erect, wavy stems, 0.6-1 m tall, up to 1 m across. Main stem 15 mm in diameter. Leaves erect, 30-60 mm long, 20-27 mm wide, hairless, dissected, with 6-9 tips, whorled at intervals along the stem. Flowerhead flat-topped, 30-35 mm long, 30-60 mm across, lax, comprising 6-15 headlets of 14-20 flowers each; flowerhead stalk 20-50 mm long. Involucral bracts absent. Perianth pink, with adpressed, white, silky hairs. Style straight, 10-12 mm long. Pollen presenter 3 mm long, club-shaped. Flowers: September to November.
