Characteristics

A rounded shrub 0.6-1 m tall, up to 0.5 m across. Main stem 10 mm in diameter. Leaves curved upwards, 30-45 mm long, 15-20 mm wide, hairless when mature, dissected, with 12-15 rounded tips with fine points; stalk 15-20 mm long. Flowerhead globose, 20-25 mm long, 25-30 mm across, up to 3 per branch, lax, each comprising 5-10 headlets of 6-10 flowers each, with a sweet scent; flowerhead stalk very short and thick. Involucral bracts absent. Perianth silver-pink. Style curved, 8-9 mm long. Pollen presenter 1 mm long, club-shaped. Flowers: July to October.
