Characteristics

An erect to sprawling shrub 0.4-0.9 m tall, up to 0.5 m across, variable. Leaves curved upwards, 30-70 mm long, 25-35 mm wide, dissected, with 10-15 thread-like tips, with straight hairs. Flowerhead flat-topped, 15-25 mm long, 15-50 mm across, comprising 10-15 headlets of 5-7 flowers each, with a faint sweet scent; flowerhead stalk short, hairy. Involucral bracts lanceolate. Perianth pink to cream, hairy but occasionally hairless. Style straight, 5-7 mm long. Pollen presenter 0.5 mm long, linear to club-shaped, not distinct from style. Flowers: All year round, mainly May to December.
