Characteristics

A prostrate shrub 0.1 m tall, 1 m across, with red, creeping stems and leaves spaced 25-35 mm apart. Leaves pointing vertically from a horizontal stem, 25-100 mm long, 10 mm wide, hairless, dissected, with 1-4 tips; stalk 20-40 mm long. Flowerhead globose, 12-17 mm across, 1-12 per branch, comprising a solitary headlet of 6-12 flowers, with a sweet scent; flowerhead stalk 20-35 mm long, hairless. Involucral bracts ovate, cream. Perianth pink, hairless. Style straight, 5-8 mm long. Pollen presenter 0.5 mm long, club-shaped. Flowers: June to November.
