Characteristics

A multi-stemmed, erect shrub with a rootstock, 0.3-0.5 m tall, up to 1 m across. Leaves hairless, bright green, erect, 20-45 mm long, 8-15 mm wide, dissected, with 6-9 tips with fine points; stalk 15-25 mm long. Flowerhead globose, 15-25 mm across, comprising a solitary headlet of 18-24 flowers, with a sweet scent; flowerhead stalk 15-30 mm long. Involucral bracts ovate, with long hairs. Perianth pink, swollen at base, with long, spreading, silver hairs. Style straight, 8-11 mm long, hairless. Pollen presenter 2 mm long, club-shaped.
