Characteristics

An erect shrub 0.3-0.5 m tall, 0.5 m across. Main stem 20 mm in diameter. Leaves erect, 30-35 mm long, 15-20 mm wide, with silky hairs, dissected, with 9-15 tips with fine points; stalk 15-20 mm long. Flowerhead globose, 20-45 mm long, 25-30 mm across, comprising a solitary headlet of 35-40 flowers, with a strong sweet scent; flowerhead stalk 0-10 mm long. Involucral bracts covering stalk base, linear, margin hairy. Perianth pink, with long, spreading, white hairs. Style straight, 10 mm long, hairless. Pollen presenter 1 mm long, club-shaped. Flowers: July to October.
