Serruria incrassata H.Buek ex E.Mey.

A prostrate shrub with creeping stems and a root-stock, 0.1 m tall, up to 1 m across. Leaves pointing vertically from a horizontal stem, 25-50 mm long, 10-15 mm wide, with crispy hairs, dissected, with 20-30 tips with round calluses; stalk 10-15 mm long. Flowerhead globose, 10-20 mm across, 1-5 per branch, comprising a solitary headlet of 20-30 flowers, with a strong sweet scent; flowerhead stalk curving upward, 25-75 mm long, hairless. Involucral bracts ovate, margin hairy, overlapping. Perianth pink, with long, adpressed, silver, silky hairs. Style hairless, curving inward, 9-12 mm long. Pollen presenter 1 mm long, club-shaped, slightly knee-bent at base.
