Characteristics

An erect shrub 0.3-1 m tall, 0.5 m across. Main stem 20 mm in diameter. Leaves erect, 50-75 mm long, 30-65 mm wide, dissected, with 20-29 round, hairless tips; stalk 20 mm long. Flowerhead globose, 65-70 mm across, comprising 5-12 headlets of 15-30 flowers each; flowerhead stalk short, hairy. Involucral bracts lanceolate, almost hairless. Perianth white, with spreading, silver hairs. Style straight, 5-9 mm long. Pollen presenter 1 mm long, tip forming a knob. Flowers: July to November.
