Characteristics

A multi-stemmed, erect shrub 0.3-1 m tall, 0.3 m across, with a rootstock. Leaves erect, 65-105 mm long, 20-25 mm wide, hairless, dissected, with 25-35 tips with sharp, fine points; stalk 25-50 mm long. Flowerhead umbrella-shaped, 15-30 mm long, 20-35 mm across, lax, comprising 4-10 headlets of 10-18 flowers each; flowerhead stalk 40-100 mm long. Involucral bracts absent. Floral bracts hairy. Perianth pink, with adpressed, silver-white, silky hairs. Style straight, 8-9 mm long. Pollen presenter 1.55 mm long, club-shaped, knee-bent at base. Flowers: September to December.
