Characteristics

An erect shrub 0.3-0.5 m tall, 0.5 m across. Main stem 5 mm in diameter. Leaves crowded, erect, 5-14 mm long, 5-10 mm wide, with grey, crispy hairs, dissected, with 8-10 blunt tips with fine points; stalk 3-5 mm long. Flowerhead globose, 10-25 mm across, comprising a solitary headlet of 22-28 flowers; flowerhead stalk short. Involucral bracts ovate. Perianth cream to green, with long, spreading, white, silky hairs. Style straight, 6-7 mm long. Pollen presenter 1 mm long, club-shaped. Flowers: August to December.
