Characteristics

An erect shrub 0.3-0.5 m tall, 0.3 m across. Main stem 10 mm in diameter. Leaves erect, 15-25 mm long, 12-18 mm wide, hairless, dissected, with 12-17 tips with fine points; stalk 6-10 mm long. Flowerhead globose, 10-20 mm across, comprising a solitary headlet of 15 flowers; stalkless. Involucral bracts encircling flowerhead base purplish, lanceolate. Perianth white to pink, with long, spreading, white hairs. Style straight, 10 mm long, hairless. Pollen presenter 2 mm long, club-shaped. Flowers: September to November.
