Characteristics

A shrub forming mats up to 0.3 m tall and 2 m across, with creeping stems from a single 15 mm main stem. Leaves pointing vertically from a horizontal stem, 20-50 mm long, 15-40 mm wide, hairless, green, dissected, with 8-12 tips; stalk 10-20 mm long. Flowerhead globose, 10-15 mm across, up to 5 per branch, each comprising 2 or 3 headlets of 10-14 flowers each; flowerhead stalk 0-8 mm long. Involucral bracts teardrop-shaped. Perianth with minute hairs, white. Style straight, 8-10 mm long. Pollen presenter 1 mm long, linear. Flowers: September to December, mainly October and November.
