Characteristics

Multi-stemmed shrub to 3 m high. Leaves with petiole 1–2 mm long; lamina linear, 30–50 (–70) mm long, 0.7–2.5 mm wide; l: w ratio 18–55: 1; margins recurved; apex ± acute. Inflorescences racemose (rarely paniculate); primary axis 10–30 mm long, glabrous. Male flowers: pedicels 1.5–10 mm long, glabrous; calyx lobes oblong, 1.5–1.8 mm long; petals broadly ovate, 2.3–2.5 mm long; receptacle convex, c. 0.8 mm across, hairy; stamens 20–30; filaments 0.4–0.8 mm long. Female flowers: pedicels 15–40 mm long, glabrous; calyx lobes ovate, 0.5–1 mm long; petals ovate or elliptic, 1.7–1.8 mm long. Fruit broadly ellipsoid, 5.5–7 mm long, 4.5–5 mm across.
