Characteristics

Shrub to 1 m high. Leaves with petiole 1–3.5 mm long; lamina narrowly lanceolate or linear, (40–) 60–80 mm long, (3–) 5–10 mm wide, l: w ratio 8–15: 1; margins recurved; apex acute. Inflorescences racemose (rarely paniculate); primary axis 20–60 mm long, glabrous. Male flowers: pedicels 2–10 (–15) mm long, glabrous; calyx lobes triangular, 0.8–1.5 mm long; petals broadly elliptic or suborbicular, 1.8–2 mm long; receptacle slightly convex, c. 0.8 mm across, tomentose; stamens c. 20; filaments 0.3–0.5 mm long. Female flowers: pedicels 25–50 mm long, glabrous; calyx lobes triangular, 0.8–1.5 mm long; petals broadly elliptic or suborbicular, c. 1.2 mm long. Fruit broadly ellipsoid, 6–7 mm long, 5–6 mm across.
