Leaves sessile, subsucculent; the basal narrowly oblanceolate to obovate, 16–30 cm long, 1–3 cm wide, attenuate into a petioloid base, remotely dentate; median and upper leaves lanceolate or narrowly oblong-lanceolate, 2–15 cm long, 0.5–1 cm wide, expanded at the base, entire or usually narrowly laciniate-serrate.. Capitula discoid, 5–12 clustered in small terminal subumbelliform corymbs; involucre cylindrical, 8.5–9.5 mm long, 3 mm in diameter; bracts of calyculus 3–4, lax, lanceolate, 2–3 mm long; phyllaries 8, 8–9 mm long.. Ray florets absent; disc florets yellow, corolla 5.5–6.5 mm long, tube glabrous, expanded from about or below the middle, lobes 0.7–1 mm long..
