Characteristics

Shrub or shrublet, up to 1 m tall, stellately hairy, prickles yellow to reddish brown, straight, up to 12 mm long. Leaves petiolate, ovate to elliptic, up to 40 mm long, margins slightly uneven. Flowers 2-4 in clusters, up to 12 mm long, blue, lilac or violet. Berries mottled green, turning orange, red or black, up to 12 mm diam.
