Rhizome terete, 2--12 cm or longer × 3--15 mm. Leaves 4--8; petiole 3--5 cm; leaf blade narrowly elliptic to elliptic-oblanceolate, 7--15 × 3--5 cm, glabrous, apex acuminate. Scape 13--20 cm. Raceme 4--6 × 2.5--4 cm, 12--18-flowered; bracts white or sometimes tinged reddish, 3--9 mm, shorter than pedicel. Pedicel 0.7--1.7 cm. Tepals spreading, lanceolate, 4--6 × 1.5--2.4 mm, 1-veined, apex obtuse. Stamens 3--5 mm; filaments filiform, ca. 3 mm; anthers elliptic, ca. 2 mm. Ovary ca. 2 mm. Style ca. 2 mm. Berries subglobose, ca. 5 mm in diam. Fl. May--Jun, fr. Jul. 2 n = 38*.
